Warren passed away from a stroke on 7-18-10.
HERR Warren E., 94, of Hasbrouck Heights on July 18, 2010. Born in Quarryville, PA. He was a 1934 graduate of the Milton Hershey School and worked for the Hershey Corp. in their printing department.He was also a 1943 graduate of Penn State University where he received his Bachelor's Degree and a 1948 graduate of New York University where he received his Master's Degree in Aeronautical Engineering. Before retiring, Warren was a mechanical engineer for Alfa Laval in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. Previously, he worked for Curtiss-Wright Corp. in Wood-Ridge during WWII.Warren was a member of The First United Methodist Church in Hasbrouck Heights where he served as a sexton, a lay leader, a former superintendent and teacher for their Sunday School and printed their church bulletin for over twenty years. He was a charter member and a former board member of the Hasbrouck Heights Swim Club and served on their building and grounds committee.Beloved husband of Emma F. (nee Flach) Herr. Devoted father of Jeffrey Herr and his wife Jeanette of St. Augustine, FL, Steven Herr and Andrea Herr and her husband Andrew Heisey all of Hasbrouck Heights. Dear brother of the late Arthur Herr and Mary Henry. Loving grandfather of Aubrey and Jay-Cee.Funeral Service at The First United Methodist Church Hasbrouck Heights on Friday at 10 AM. Reverend Rene Pak officiating. Interment following at Kensico Cemetery, Valhalla, N.Y. Visitation Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Costa Memorial Home Boulevard and Central Ave. Hasbrouck Heights.Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions to The First United Methodist Church Burton and Division Avenues Hasbrouck Heights, NJ 07604 in memory of Warren E.
